The Thatched House, on Ball Street, will hold an evening of live fiddle music with a hot pot supper from 7.30pm on Thursday. Lytham Brewery will give a donation for each pint sold, there will be a silent auction with a brewery trip up for grabs as well as a chance to win a Pudsey bear by picking his middle name.

Generous Thatched regulars have also donated prizes for a raffle.

Humanists’ stand

LANCASHIRE Secular Humanists (LSH) are taking part in an inter-faith week at Preston’s Harris Library until Friday.

Their stand will be open from 10am until 4pm each day. LSH chairman Ian Abbott is delivering a workshop Humanism – Good Without God at the library between 10am and noon on Thursday. Meanwhile tomorrow sees the group’s monthly meeting take place at 7.30pm at Great Eccleston Village Centre.
